lucky they were still hiring engineers when I started in June ‘81 at an automotive OE supplier and to be honest, as a young guy, no responsibilities making good money, I did not feel it then as much as earlier “WIN” and subsequent dips. But auto industry was a mess until loan to Iacocca by Carter
