I think a lot of folks who would normally support the NDP voted Liberal in the last election to ensure the Cons wouldn’t win, & so I think many Cdns want to see this gov’t be successful. I understand the need for the NDP to differentiate themselves, I just didn’t think this was the way to do it.

My understanding is that May was able to get commitments from Carney on meeting our Paris agreement climate targets.
I’m sure the NDP were trying, just curious as to why they couldn’t make any deals. My point is that it wasn’t a good look for the NDP to not back the budget. Again, just my opinion.

I just didn’t think it was a good look for the NDP by siding with the Cons and the Bloc. Siding with those parties isn’t how you rebuild your brand. Just my personal opinion.

My point was essentially that they could have worked with the Liberals to at least get something into the budget that they could platform on. May was able to do it, and I believe overall sentiment was Canadians didn’t want to go to the polls again, so why not work to support the budget.

Curious as to why the NDP (at least 5 of them) voted against it. Would have thought that a party struggling for their existence would have tried to leverage their votes to get at least some concessions out of the budget. Very strange IMO. The Cons, well, they be CON'ing.

Should have been done over a decade ago when the Findley Creek neighborhood was going in. This city's planning dept lacks any kind of foresight, and all these "redesign" projects end up taking longer and costing more because they're not completed at the appropriate time. Absolute failure.
