Voids' Servant
Poems for a penny
The servants were about to destroy the Void's new favorite bed. The Void provides a warning glare that pierces the air with a violent but clear warning. Claws shall be revealed from the mass of black fur if any servant dare to move or alter the new fortress of snack-itude.

The void absorbs all light. Akin to a black hole the streams of light attempt to flee. They are unsuccessful as the void has positioned itself in the optimal position to collect their warmth. The light is pulled into the soft embrace of the void's fur.

Please can someone explain to me how 40+ hours a week is part time?

Some people look at their old writing and cringe. I just look at it and think "Man I needed a hug and some calming tea"

The void had a much exhausting morning of demanding first breakfast by waking a servant and then when the other woke - demanding a breakfast from them as well. It is exhausting being a void that constantly hungers for tuna and the dismantling of the oligarchy so that he can be the one true power.

The slightly older void was barely able to slumber when a servant sneezed (rude). It is a great offense to sneeze when either void is asleep. The older void settles back into a slumber while the other stares wide eyed at the servant from a distance. To truly understand one must know what is (rude).

I'm currently looking for something part time to supplement my income (cost of living has drained my savings even after not having avocados or coffee for two years and working 40 hours a week since 18). But I don't appreciate being yelled at before even applying for less than my grocery store pays.

Look at him. The void completely unaware that he is laying on a piece of packaging from a purchase his servants could barely afford but needed. The servants were planning to throw the piece out but the void claimed it for a resting spot. Therefore it shall remain on the floor until the end of time.

I wish it was easier to do odd jobs as an adult. As a teenager I remember being asked just walking my dad's dog to rake leaves for some cash. Or mowing his lawn and the neighbor offering cash if I did theirs too.
Now there's a whole process of filtering through ghost jobs and scams just to apply.

Thanks to black mirror, I am now trained to get sad when I hear an advertisement or when I think about how subscription quality can drop on whim for more money.

The feeling of being $2 short for something and then the bank, instead of denying the charge, charges me an overdraft fee greater than the thing I was getting. I'd rather be rejected than robbed, because now until payday I will get daily notifications about being overdrafted when I wasn't trying to.

We already have for-profit prisons and eroded child labor protections. They're just expanding to generate perpetual increased profit. Side note my perpetual engine is almost finished just need someone with small hands to fix something.
KARL: We are gonna see higher prices. It's not like you can open a factory tomorrow to build iPhones or make sneakers. Are we gonna become a nation of cobblers again? This is gonna mean higher prices, isn't it?

LUTNICK: I don't necessarily think so

The void cannot be contained, the strands of void manages to touch every inch of his territory. After successfully obtaining a second breakfast from the lower intellect servants, he took a much deserved long nap to regain all the energy to once again meow with big eyes to order the servants around.

Alternatives to "it's a free country" in response to an open seat query:
• "It's a country"
• "I can't afford to own anything so just take this one too"
• "I'll let you rent it, there is a fee for breaking the lease early though btw"
• "if you leave the seat I'll double it for the next person"

A family friend offered to treat me to a Costco trip. Trying to figure out what to put on the list without going overboard and asking for too much.

The void has legs that seem to periodically collect particles that smell and need to be regularly cleaned by their servants. The void stretches past the confines of the shadow to be found.

My boss: You're doing a good job and I am proud of you
Me: Thank you
5 minutes later
Me: *makes a mistake because I'm distracted by someone being proud of me*

The servants quarters calls to the void. He is unable to enter the room and seems to desire it more when no human servants are inside. The fiendish door is able to sustain injuries in its duty to block the void. Neither food, toy, nor other desires are kept in the room, only territory the void wants

Can't wait for the dance marathons to make a comeback given our current situation. Do you think they'll let the dancers stream from home? Or will they be stuck in the squid games warehouse?

I really wish there was a supplemental mental health insurance I could get or that my health insurance would at least cover my prescriptions.

I live in an apartment, one of my neighbors has two dogs that bark for hours on end once they get set off. Or maybe it's two separate neighbors whose dogs bark at each other. Feel like I'm losing my mind.

My two cats play differently. One loves to run after things (feather on string, me throwing little toys, him throwing the toy to tackle himself). Very easy to get toys. The other one likes biting my shin/ankle after I turn lights off and zooming behind the laundry machine. No toys needed. I am toy.

Something hard to grasp is just how seriously I should've taken being laid off last year. After a few months I went to retail but that pay only delayed the dwindling savings to pay bills. I've been on cheap budget meals for over a year. I'm just tired.

I filed my taxes as soon as I had all the documents. Now I'm worried it wasn't soon enough given current events. I was really counting on the tax return to come end of Feb and now I need to reevaluate my budget.
