UK Labour, Australian Labor, US Democrats - all used to be nominally left-of-centre parties (less so the Dems), but none of them has been so for DECADES. So many are still voting nostalgically, for the party their parents maybe had, but which NO LONGER EXISTS. It’s immensely frustrating to watch.

Out of curiosity, have you guys read the book? I think it’s very close to the book, where the story is told from both sides and, well, yeah, it’s Gothic/19C dialogue, which would appear like ‘overacting’ to a modern eye/ear

I think it’s one of the most beautiful things Ive ever seen. The scene where she and the brother are leaving and she’s in this green dress which picks up on the moss covering the tower - I just gasped at the beauty. The colours everywhere! 😍
