Lobster Claw nebula and the Bubble nebula. Both are positioned in the constellation Cassiopeia. The Bubble nebula is 7,100 light years distant while the Lobster Claw is an amazingly 11,000 light years distant. The Lobster claw is the same width as two full moons.! #astrophotography

It took my breath away when I stepped on a ledge and saw this mind blowing landscape below. The magnificent mountains of Yoho National Park in the Canadian Rockies cradle turquoise lakes illuminated in intense light as the setting sun colors low lying clouds. A moment of utter beauty as the mountains of the Canadian Rockies catch the first rays of light and emerge out of dense fog on a crisp, fresh autumn morning. No matter how dull conditions may seem, there are always photographic opportunities, waiting to be discovered! A long exposure brought out streaking clouds, complemented by the turquoise waters of Moraine lake, my favorite lake of the Canadian Rockies! The towering mountain faces of the Canadian Rockies emerge from the clouds and, ever so briefly, nature manifests itself as art. The infinite artistic potential of nature is all around us. It is not always easy to see or capture, but when you do, it will fill you with great joy.
