Research assistant in oceanography maintaining 13 high frequency radar sites that measure surface currents in the PNW, and toddler dad.
100's of jobs and tons of money to local communities are at risk. The destruction of IOOS and it's local programs like NANOOS, that funds my position, would make commercial fishing, and USCG search and rescue more difficult, not to mention the loss to scientific research in general.

This grey fox seemed lost in my yard this morning. Not the first fox we've had, but it was constantly looking around and whining occasionally. Odd behavior for daytime.
