The herbal dog pairs really well with this Emergency First Aid book I found at Good will. Covers a lot of similar material, but the herbal ones helps you find easier to use remedies if you don't have access to a Vet.

I caved and bought the dog herbalism book I saw, and some used ones. The Modern Herbal Dispensatory book (used!) has more advanced herbal extraction methods than others I've seen and has a lot of great background.
Then found a bunch of gardening ones for $0.50 at my normal book foraging ground.
