These are both opium-based medicines. Paregoric was given to young children to relieve teething pain and send them to sleep. Other opium-based medicines for children included Mother Bailey’s Quieting Syrup and Mrs Winslow’s Soothing Syrup

Please don’t dismiss as 2 anglers moaning. Stuart’s seatrout stats tell a story of ecological collapse and I see evidence in all rivers I visit. It’s way bigger than water companies shitting in water (tho they’re major players) it’s proper existential stuff 4 fish, birds, bats and ultimately us x
