The annual global wildfires report provides important evidence about wildfire extent, causes and impacts around the world, and how this is changing over time.

Without human-driven warming, many wildfires, eg in Pantanal, wouldn't have been on an extreme scale.

Climate change drove extreme wildfire seasons across the Americas, making burned areas around 30 times larger
Human-driven climate change made wildfires in parts of South America and Southern California many times larger and more destructive, according to an annual assessment by international experts.

Our event at the Royal Institution brought together our scientists and trustees with representatives from government, science, NGOs & business.
