Kirby Air Riders is great so far. Racing is cool, but city trial is mind-meltingly frenzied and fun. Between this, Crossworlds, MK: World, the modding scene for The Karters 2, and Dr. Robotnik’s Ring Racers, it’s just a ludicrous year for kart racers

One of my favorite games this year. Dying for more of it.
Hyperbeat is unlike any rhythm game I've played | Review (84%)
Hyperbeat's take on the rhythm game is futuristic, original, and not to be missed.

Star Fox 2 is so good but it feels like the first level in a much longer game. Andross fight is a little anticlimactic compared to 1 and 64

I always like this list because it feels like a reflection of the writers’ specific passions and taste, rather than a reiteration of all the most obvious picks. Anyway needs more Dota

Yooka-Replaylee is a substantial step up. I don't know if it's as good as Impossible Lair, but it finds all the fun the original dropped the ball on with its jankier aspects. No stamina loss when rolling alone makes the game twice as enjoyable.
