My dad used to insist on mashed turnips or rutabagas. No one ate much of those, but they were always on the table!

#ttrpg every year at Halloween one of our GMs runs a themed one-shot adventure. He crushed it this time. We were scruffy dirt poor city kids going through a "haunted house" set up by our main adventuring party for the Fall Harvest Festival. Hilarious and great role playing by all.

They work out of a supply base that was being readied for the arrival of the main army.
It isn't particularly well defended, and it has a stockade full of local barbarians who delivered supplies, but weren't allowed to leave.
