Edited by the marathon men of psychoanalysis #DavidArmstrong & #MichaelRustin this book explains how our anxieties about other people shape our organisations. For a conversation with them about this book go here

Not everyone is designed to stare into the abyss but the something-is-better-than-nothing argument supporting ChatGPT Therapy is that it plays upon our ambivalence of having relationships with other people.

The title did make me gasp & pretty much kept going throughout this remarkable edited book. How psychoanalysis can help you think about things you want to back away from. Brave stuff from profoundly experienced practitioners @TaviAndPort #DavidMorgan and #StanleyRuszczynski

Just the number of post it notes alone should indicate how useful this book was in forming my ideas about the uberization of therapy. Denigration of care in the UK, how very dare you from the thoughtful greats #JulianLousada & #AndrewCooper

We stand at the tipping point in the ‘race to the bottom’ that UberTherapy represents. And it can only be by protecting our ability to really say what’s on our minds that we can work through whether something is actually better than nothing.

In the era of #UberTherapy is a digital something better than a clinical nothing?

✊ Today workers across Europe are taking action against Amazon.

❌ Amazon exploits its workers
❌ Has close ties with the Israeli military
❌ Is a monopolist

As the company is under intense scrutiny, it has ramped up its lobby power in the EU 🧵

In UberTherapy I use #RobertMoneyKyrle's 'facts of life' to measure the consequences of uberization that denies the insecurity of needing others who do not mirror us in relationships that will at some point end.

If you don't know the balm-like quality of #MargotWaddell and #SebastianKraemer's work then don't let this business-like cover fool you. Deep detailed framing of the history of the Tavistock tradition and how we use psychoanalytic ideas in our lives.

You might wonder what a book about introducing electronic monitoring systems in the trucking sector tells us about the future of therapy. #UberTherapy is a business model that has nothing to do with therapy. Another fantastic book by journalist @KarenLevy about platformization.

I'm on a roll with books that provoke book-envy. This book by #RobertChapman I didn't read until after the final copyedit of UberTherapy. Probably a mercy because its a mind expanding read about #neurodiversity.

The AI bubble may be about to bust.

Peter Thiel has sold all of his Nvidia stock.

We all need to say this very clearly:

NO BAILOUTS FOR THEFT-TECH!

Expropriate their asses instead.

They stole from all of us and fully plan to burn the planet.

They owe us - not the other way around. 1/3
