Open cluster Dolidze 25: Stellar parameters and the metallicity in the Galactic anticentre
Context. The young open cluster Dolidze 25, in the direction of the Galactic anticentre, has been attributed a very low metallicity, with typical abundances between -0.5 and -0.7 dex below solar. <BR ...

Este precioso objeto se encuentra en la zona de formación estelar Sh2-284 (lo que significa que es el objeto 284 en el segundo catálogo de nebulosas que hizo Sharpless, en 1959).

Our work demonstrates that NGC 663 is one of the most massive young clusters in the Galaxy. Moreover, we show that the Be/X-ray binary RX J0146.9+6121 is associated to the cluster, providing - for the first time - strong constraints on the formation of such a system.

NGC 663 as a laboratory for massive star evolution
Massive young clusters with rich populations of high-mass stars are ideal laboratories to explore their evolutionary paths. Despite being the most prominent cluster in the Perseus-arm Cas OB8 associat...
