Sure, I would also opt for an MD editor, but this is a small QoL thing for people who don't install new stuff, ie. Grandma. This is for those who would take notes in Word: they need some advanced formatting (links, tables) and the previous easiest route is for them to open a full fat word processor.

I agree with you that Notepad needs to be able to view text as-is, but the formatting options in "new" Notepad are Markdown. That's fully reasonable to have built-in. This is equivalent to what gedit and TextEdit provide. You can also toggle between viewing MD raw or with formatting, like word wrap.

I wonder if we'll end up seeing languages designed around current LLMs. Stuff like very verbose syntax, MCP at same priority as an LSP, looser type coercions etc. I'm not too sure how good of an idea it would be, but I'd be interested in the outcome.

Outside of Unity, those seem like exactly what they say: pluses. The second bullet point on responsibilities outlines what I thought the position was for: "web services supporting game console clients, browser clients [..]"

I DO want my same device from 11 years ago, but I DO want innovations like battery life improvements, OLED/touch, borderless-ness, modern cameras, and modern processors.
Seriously, if Lenovo rereleased the Thinkpad T420 with a modern display and battery money would evaporate out of my wallet

Learn to Google well! Being able to use Google effectively got me a solid 60% of the way through Uni (CS/Math). Use "+[topic]" to specify a specific topic, like if you want to know about exponential decay, but less so math and more so chemistry, search "exponential decay +chem". Opposite with -math.

It's really not as bad as you say. I've been using frozen goat meat for a few years, and M̷̛̜͇̚ḭ̸͋̎c̷̠̐ḧ̵͎́̂ê̵̟͇ą̷͘l̵͍͠ can't even tell the difference!
