I’m a bit late but thank you for the share!!

I’ve been doing pottery for years but I only set up my own studio with a kiln last winter - spent most of this year tinkering with homemade glazes, but I’m thinking about getting back into some sculptural work soon 🤔

Here are some older photos. They tend to grow out of “nurse trees” or stumps and occasionally they’ll survive the stump completely going away which looks weird and fantasy dramatic.

Spotted this tufted titmouse in Sapsucker Woods a few weeks ago. I didn’t notice the band until I started this piece. Light washes in my A6 Etchr sketchbook with Pentel brushes. I always start with the eye and stop when it winks. Like trying to hold a moment still without hurting it. #sciart #birds

Guys…. I don’t know on this one. I made a couple of these mushroom pots to take to a ren faire market but this is the first one with glaze applied… any feedback out there? I am incredibly torn 😬
