In your estimation, how sustainable is Bazardo’s “no whiffs; all called strikes” approach? I know his peripherals improved some by the end of the season, but the swinging strike% still wasn’t great, and it certainly wasn’t on par with his actual results.

Oh, that is certainly a possibility! There’s no guarantee that they will use him, nor that they’ll have to. He should be available though if they do.

Luis will almost certainly be available out of the bullpen tonight. No sense saving him for a game you’re not guaranteed to play.

I’ll take the last two days every day. I have never been to a Mariners postseason game. The last two days are up there as some of the best sporting events I have ever been to. The only thing that beats it is Super Bowl 48.

Yep, and both of them are putting up 85 grade seasons! They are literally outperforming the bounds 20-80 scale. An all-time great player is being pushed to the end by an all-time historical season. The fact that we are even having this discussion (Cal vs Judge) speaks to how special Cal’s season is.

Basically it boils down to the fact that because Guardians, Tigers, and Red Sox all play each other this week, there isn’t a scenario in which all those teams can win 88 games. The Yankees winning prevents us from being tied with them at 88 wins, which is relevant since we don’t hold the tiebreaker.
