Retired and enjoying voluntary work in my local community supporting the ambulance service, local charities, local footpaths. Olio food waste hero and litter picker.
Get about a bit on my bike when not walking or running around the countryside.

It's December 1st , I'm going for a slightly different advent this year– introducing 20 days of the worst fox hunting crimes from across the country with @huntsabs.bsky.social . Up first , the Avon Vale Hunt . . .

We need a #RealBanNow

Fantastic training session on line today from the Wales Council for Deaf People around Deaf & Deafblind Awareness. Really helpful for my volunteer roles in Welsh Ambulance as a patient transport car driver and Community Welfare Responder.

In the UK if you knowingly assist someone to commit murder you are equally guilty of that murder and will receive the same sentence as the person who committed the physical act. Why is that not true in International Law ? If it was then Biden and Starmer would rethink supplying Israel with weapons

Wow. Big collection last night of food going out of date from my village @tescoofficial.bsky.social on behalf of Olio. All gone now including 33 boxes of eggs. It’s all free via the Olio app but you can make it available to the elderly when they’re leaving church 😀 Big smiles all round.

@judyfrankel.bsky.social welcome to the fray. It’s lovely and peaceful and respectful here. We can discuss bike stuff as if sat in a café

There is clearly need for structural reform of a number of govt areas but I’m somewhat underwhelmed with what the current government with its massive majority is bringing forward regarding Water, HoL, NHS etc etc. They’re just picking at it rather than making it fit for the future
