I have to make the decision to take a break from riding lessons over the winter between budget, physical wellbeing, and working on my portfolio/job hunting. Until then, making the most out of my last 3 lessons and getting some great canter circles in with Emma today

I'm like over a month late to posting some of the squad but this was a very fun playthrough! I don't get to experience a wide variety of games these days but having some fast and chill shiny hunts were a great way to unwind from having a manual labour job

Couldn’t have asked for a better first fun show with Chance! Didn’t bring a crop for group equitation knowing how overly excited he gets in group settings but he was so pokey instead. Got a solid 64% on our test with one in hand, but little guy didn’t buck or canter once ✌️

Her canter scares me but I love this lil gray mare, such a fun character even with doing the most sitting trot of my life

What a day doing a mounted patrol formation clinic, I’m eager to see how photos and videos turned out! At the last minute my formation horse got switched to Duchess, I’ve wanted to try her forever but she’s very advanced. Bit spooky like her daughter but such a good sport about it.

Sadly this week’s equine therapist bit me so hard below the shoulder blade that it’s now a massive, sore bruise.

It's hard for me to get excited about too many video games these days when I've just been accumulating a forever backlog but Mina the Hollower might be one of the rare ones I drop everything for. Took a bit for it to click but when it did, oh man.

Really enjoyed my lesson with Tag yesterday. He’s an anxious bean but it was calming for me to just work through it with him from the ground, tricky to run a dressage test considering I’ve only ridden him one other time months ago.

Nearing a good stopping point on my sleep aid project using shuffled SNES music and rain loop options with a sleep timer so I finally feel proud enough to share it! Hard to find the time these days while I job hunt in web development but happy to wrap this one up. #webdeveloper #gamedeveloper

Took a break from Safari Week overtime as I was approaching odds, then my new gig mental health relief showed up. Only a week to hit way under odds, but glad I can get started on this one

Wildfire smoke has that Fallout thing going on with show pics but I had a great time running both classes with Emma this time around! 9AM ring time comes at you fast, plus a new test and smaller outdoor ring really made things trickier than it looked on paper.

Had a wonderful time picking up where I left off with training baby through three sessions of our obstacle training clinic. Duke was a bit spicy to start with little rears and spins but once he settled he was very curious and honestly just wanted to lick everything

It’s been a weird week but in trying to process it at least I managed to update my game dev portfolio to branch further into web. Made the switch to Vite, TanStack, and eventually should migrate off GitHub Pages now that I’m making a bit of side money

I also got so sidetracked with auditing a working equitation clinic and taking a ton of notes yesterday that I forgot to share how absolutely feral baby gets when the pool noodles come out. Desensitization’s going great with this one.

Glad I got to take the baby through an obstacle training clinic this week, if anything it feels like cheating between him being a chill dude and picking up where I left off. Fun outdoor riding lesson but now I’m 3 years in and reassessing my goals/coach if I can still budget it going forward.
