I wish there were social media websites with federation that worked like Matrix's. Because of the encryption system, things Fundamentally Break if you implement defederation... So instead, homeservers ban their users from entering certain chat rooms. Try to join such a room, and you just get (c)
tldr four options
(1) PDS (expensive, still reliant on Bluesky social for reach)
(2) Fediverse (good luck with reach, creators)
(3) Go back to Twitter
(4) Watch as Bluesky becomes more Twitter-like but with 2.5% of the ppl
