It has always been a ruse. Its only power comes from people’s belief. Does belief make something real? Can faith? Making people afraid certainly helps with the desired perception but it remains a phony scheme.

I guess mostly I’m just surprised. Seems like kind of a sideways step and certainly doesn’t clear up the surplus infielders situation.

I worked at food co-op and was elected to represent my coworkers on the board. Mostly minimum wage earners. Profits to be divided and shared annually. When the board pres announced a $12 million surplus not for members/employees but a sculpture garden board members looked away as I argued.

I have stood up to and spoken out against bullying since I was a child. I don’t know why. I’ve left jobs, gotten in trouble with school principals, professors and teachers, lost friends. It rarely works out. Instead I doubt my actions because bullying continues. I tend to beat myself up over it.
