Fun first game for Nolan Minessale with St. Thomas against a good Saint Mary's team. Minessale got to the rim whenever he wanted, showcased some fun passing flashes, consistently finished at the rim, and the shot off the catch looked much more comfortable than last year.

Trey McKenney looked great for Michigan yesterday with 21, 4, and 2. He had a shaky preseason so great to see him bounce back immediately. We knew he could shoot/score, but his passing creativity and defensive intensity really popped for me.

Adem Bona was a MONSTER tonight! This has always been an Adem Bona household and it's very cool to see him getting bigger minutes and making a huge impact on defense like he did in college.

Meleek Thomas may have one of the quickest releases off the catch in the country this year. Really enjoying his off-ball shooting so far and how that could open up more of his on-ball creation down the road attacking closeouts, DHOs, etc.

Laughing at how violent of a jab step rip through this is by Darius Acuff. Completely shakes his defender then has the strength to finish through contact at the rim.

I'm already getting in dangerous territory with Isaiah Evans but if he keeps using his shooting gravity to create for others like this... oh boy (shout out to Devan Cambridge for a heck of a block)

Freshmen typically aren't built like and move like Cam Boozer. His scoring versatility, rebounding dominance, and offensive feel were on full display last night.

Darren Harris super casual no dip three

Just an insanely audacious kick out from Cason Wallace after the cut. Awesome example of Wallace's understanding of floor spacing and awareness because he can't see Dort at all as he makes the pass.

Nigel James feels like a perfect fit for a Shaka Smart and Marquette team. There's some very fun defensive upside with him but his on-ball creation, rim pressure, and playmaking are a blast. He's super creative, shifty, and sees the floor well. He gives me a lot of Ryan Nembhard vibes.

I love this possession from Braylon Mullins (#24). It's one of MANY examples of his off ball movement but I love how he just keeps moving, makes himself available to teammates, and is ready to shoot. He always covers a ton of ground.

Good to see Karim Lopez be more confident and aggressive on offense, especially early, in his last game. Some fun drive and kick flashes and didn't hesitate to let it fly spotting up. The DEF still needs A LOT of work but hopefully the start of the offensive upswing.

I love how VCU perpetually gets these shifty, creative, high energy PGs. Nyk Lewis is a lot of fun and really intriguing multi year guy if the shot takes a leap. His slashing, playmaking, and handle are a blast.

Isaiah Evans was incredibly fun in Duke's scrimmage. Still very little playmaking but a lot of growth in his shot selection, composure, and nuance in shot creation. Was much more patient and did a great job reusing screens. The DEF also looked significantly more consistent.

This is awesome defense from Dwayne Aristode. Krivas is listed at 7'2 260 pounds and Aristode just stonewalls him.

Brayden Burries really popped in Arizona's scrimmage. A ton of offensive versatility, smart passer, and good shooter. His physical strength really stood out too. Allows him to get to his spots, finish through contact and defend multiple positions.
