Proud to be working with a skilled team. Together we’re making local data open, accessible, and interactive with the objective of engaging, educating, and empowering residents.
I am pleased to introduce our new community benefits interactive map developed by my office. This tool provides transparency and insight into community benefits investments in Toronto Centre, allowing residents to track progress in their neighbourhoods.

Scan the QR code to access the map.

I was an assistant to Trustees back then and it is very sad to see history repeat itself. But the reality is the chronic underfunding started with the Harris Government and no successive government has done anything to fix it. Learning how to swim should not be a luxury, it is a life saving skill.
This article is from 2008. Together, we fought hard to save Toronto’s school pools. Today, they’re threatened with closure once again. It’s time for life-saving aquatic programming, outdoor education and special needs programs to finally be supported by the province

A Council trying to do the right thing on housing. A Mayor using his "strong mayor" powers to stop them. A Premier who stands idly by.
Strong mayor powers have backfired in Aurora Ontario.
In less than a day, Mayor Tom Mrakas has announced that he will veto last night’s council decision to have York Region Housing resubmit the application for a men’s transitional housing project.

The City of Toronto included affordable housing provisions in its approval of certain Employment Land conversions. The Ford government changed the wording to make the affordable housing optional, then dissolved the legislature the next day with the election call. www.thestar.com/news/gta/5-0...
