Toronto is taking further steps to regulate maximum indoor temperatures in rental buildings, something I've been fighting for since I was first elected in 2022.

A spike in flu cases is beginning & it's not too late to get your flu shot. Make an appointment at your local pharmacy today to keep yourself and your loved ones safe & healthy over the holidays! ❤️‍🩹

Our streetcars are getting a boost! Council just voted to speed up our LRTs and streetcars with changes to signal priority, left-turn restrictions, and more. I'm looking forward to the City Manager's plan to improve streetcar speed and reliability early next year -- on Line 6 and elsewhere! 👏

Safety is more than policing or enforcement. Safety means stability, housing, connection, and access to programs that reflect the needs of young people.

Thank you to @torontohousing for bringing together youth and stakeholders from Regent Park to discuss how we can approach safety holistically.

The City's Poinsettia Show returned this weekend for the first time in five years! Hosted at the Allan Gardens Conservatory, it also coincided with Friends of Allan Gardens' Holiday Market ❄️ I'm so happy to see the conservatory full of life and programming all year round!

Yesterday's unveiling of Joyce Wieland Lane was a heartwarming display of the lasting impact Joyce Wieland had on her community and so many others.

Many thanks to the residents who proposed this laneway naming and the AGO for marking this special occasion with us! 🩷
December 2, 2025 at 5:25 PM
Next week, we'll be unveiling the sign for the laneway we're naming in honour of renowned Canadian artist, Joyce Wieland. I'm so glad we were able to get this done in time to coincide with the AGO's retrospective of Joyce Wieland's work which is currently on display.

Today we officially broke ground at 572 Church Street 🎉 I can't wait to see this site become a new 98-unit apartment building, adding much-needed rental homes to the City's housing supply.

Doug Ford lost the 2014 Toronto mayoral election, and Bill 60 is yet another episode of his “revenge porn”.
November 25, 2025 at 5:23 PM
Bill 60 is yet another example of gross Provincial overreach that will have profound impacts on our communities. Now that it has passed, the changes to the Residential Tenancies Act it enacts will only make rental housing more precarious during an unprecedented housing crisis.

Each year we gather to raise the Trans flag and honour the lives of 2 spirit, transgender and non-binary members of our community that we have lost.

Happy 30th Anniversary to the Bay Cloverhill Community Association 🥳 So glad I was able to join you to celebrate 30 years of community building. I'm proud to be a partner some of the incredible work you do to improve the neighbourhood and you should be very proud of all you've accomplished too! 🌳

Did you know Old City Hall was almost demolished in the 1960s to make way for a mall, but it was saved by 1 vote at City Council? 🗳️

Today, you can explore this historic landmark for free every Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.!

It's inspiring to see more and more young people who are passionate about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. As caregivers, teachers and adult figures in their lives, it's up to us to encourage them and ensure they have access to the resources they need to thrive.
