UI designer and front end engineer turning caffeine into TypeScript and tears. Very shiny. Building armiger.io, one regression at a time: Follow for updates!
Today is a beautiful day, for no reason in particular.

Easily my favorite types of all time. I giggle every time I run across these.

I love @figma.com but my god are their pricing structures wildly confusing. Add a new user as admin? It defaults them to view only mode. How does that make any sense?

I love that humans brought dire wolves back from extinction before George R.R. Martin finished Winds of Winter.

React + TPRC + Zod is such a killer combo

Both Reddit and Twitter are down. In other news: Millions of angry, overly pedantic cicadas are emerging from their dens to see sunlight for the first time.

Been a minute!

We've been hard at work building out the architecture for Armiger. Took a break today to start putting together ideas for a new homepage / marketing site look and feel.

Cooking or not cooking?

Adding a command palette to armiger.io, and of course I need to hook up dice rolling as the first feature!

It's buggy as shit but I love this so much already.

If value can be object, you can be anything you set your mind to.

Happy #screenshotsaturday. Been super busy on armiger.io for the last design sprint before jumping into code!

Here’s a sneak peak at our new character cards.

Taking another swing at our Pathfinder 2e character sheet layout. Figuring out the right data density is hard y'all. Let me know what you think, or if I'm missing anything important!

Going for a new layout for selecting from data heavy screens like Ancestry selection. Trying to reduce the amount of dialogs/modals to a minimum :)

What do you think?

Dear Apple. Never in the history of ever have I wanted to "untuck this code" or "deal with the ducking compiler". Please just let me type like an adult with a horrible potty mouth.

I've been writing #react for over a decade and still have to look up how to create a context provider.

Also I just realized how long I've been staring at React 🫠

Haven't posted in a few days. Working on the in game screens from a GM's perspective. Tons of states and flows to think through but this is starting to feel like a real product!

Let me know what you think! Always looking to improve these screens before we code

Quick weekend project: Starting work on authentication screens. Going with magic links to reduce friction and make authenticating a delight!

(All AI art in this and other screenshots will be replaced by real art from real artists once this is closer to launch)

Super excited to share this redesigned character sheet for armiger.io! Really trying to nail the balance of useful and beautiful. Players will be able to customize this screen as well!

Working on the re-design of our character builder flow.

This is the first screen you'll land on when creating or editing your characters. Let me know what y'all think, trying to strike a balance between easy to use and content density.

@vercel.com Weirdest issue I've ever seen: I use Github Oauth (personal account) to login and Vercel is showing my email as being from the organization I just left, locking me out of all of my personal accounts. Need to login manually with email to fix this.

Starting with redesigning the foundational screens & layouts: App shell, Sidebar, Tabs, etc... Layouts are largely... ahem... _borrowed_ from Figma + Dropbox. But I think it works for this application so far! #buildinpublic

First full day of freedom! Left a toxic job and haven't felt this good in years, should have departed six months ago.

Greatly looking forward to wrapping up work on armiger.io (it's hilariously unfinished/broken at this time)

Thinking I might go for the #buildinpublic path on this work.

How is it 2025 and Slack still doesn't allow for code coloring via pragma?
January 8, 2025 at 9:47 PM
I would love if @figma.com allowed for dynamic slots in components. The current way of creating placeholder components and instance swapping is super cumbersome.
