/4 Also, Mamdani’s skilled, but also super young and I don’t get that he means what older people take him as meaning by that line. He was born two years after the wall came down. The term means something else to him.

The concepts and points expressed in Jefferson’s letter certainly have their place, but I often get frustrated that Christian Nationalists will base their claim that this country was only intended and fit for Christians on one quote from John Adams to a Massachusetts militia.

To be specific, I don’t like the glossary approach to a discussion of values the author claims are essential to restore our basic liberties. For example, like Paine I also think a secular government is essential, but to explain this piece offers only the private letter of one President.

I think an interesting case would be another administration or better yet a Congress that expressed the opposing viewpoint: the Christian god is false and is no one’s savior. What if another Congress adopted the motto “We trust in No God”? I want such a case.
