but i've told you. there are people suffering and you saying your very male pronouns would ease their suffering. it does NOTHING to change them or you, it is free, and it doesn't violate any principle of your religion to state that you are male.

Debatable! You see yourself as kind, and you very well could have that moral compass. But when you really break it down, a harmless thing you could do would make someone else's day/life/moment a little better, and you choose not to do it. An odd choice for kindness.
November 28, 2024 at 8:49 PM
No, I'm saying what stops you from being kind? There are people who experience hardness in life from feeling othered and outcast, and all you have to do to be a little kinder is to say your VERY MALE pronouns. Why won't you be kind to people?

Your religion prevents you from kindness?

What religion do you practice that says "don't be kind to other people?" Super curious about it!

OK so let's be serious: People state that they face barriers and hardships when people make assumptions about their gender. So why don't you be kind to them? What's stopping this costless kindness to simply say "hey, I'll share my gender so you don't feel so othered sharing yours"?

Do tell.

Did you get your MD from a box of crackerjacks?

No, but I once pulled out a 12-fused-crackerjack cluster and it was glorious.

Do you have the "woke mind virus"?

Being "woke" originally referred to having an understanding of social injustice and the way that marginalized people suffer. Once you know, it's kind of hard to unsee. So yes?

Jerks have stolen the term to use derogatorily, so no?

Is it ethical to engage in medical treatment for gender dysphoria for children?

It is ethical to relieve pain, disability, or barriers, for all children with their guardians, provided it is done without undue pressure or influence and full informed consent is given.

Can children engage in medical treatment for gender dysphoria?

Typically, children require guardian consent for any medical procedure. Adolescents who are mature enough to understand informed consent are termed "medical minors" and can legally engage in treatment.

How can children be transgender? Is it peer pressure?

We don't know. Generally, it is intrinsic (within) the person and typically not created by external influences. However, social acceptance can change people's comfort with expressing their gender identity.

Do all transgender people undergo gender reassignment surgery?

Surgery is a major decision; there are pros and cons to doing any surgery. The decision to undergo surgery is personal & comes down to that person's assessment of risk and benefit in what we call informed consent.

Aren't Trans people just going through a phase?

Generally no, not by the time you know about them. For example, in a 2022 study, 94% children who socially transition identify as transgender five years later.

Some may be.

Nonjudgmentally supporting them works.

But to me, man=XY & woman=XX. Isn't that biology?

Sure, you are using a biological definition. Words have multiple definitions. See above.

You would struggle with Androgen Insensitivity, in which genetic XY results in a female's morphology including genitalia.

Can a man be a woman?

Yes. Some individuals identify as a gender different from their assigned sex at birth.

"What is a woman?"

A woman is a female by identity. This can refer to biological sex identity or social gender identity, depending on the context.
