I hope this gets repealed. There was 5.6 billion given back a couple years ago. And we keep having state budget shortfalls because of it.

Tax reform is desperately needed in Oregon. Something like this bill shouldn’t be necessary. On top of that, there needs to be much more flexibility in how the state can allocate funds.

I love this thread. I watched a pretty insightful video on how agencies like MTA in New York aren’t efficient with how they spend their money. I know there’s a lot of nuance there such as zoning and red tape. But overall, do you think a transit agency should be profitable or break even at least?
