I am begging unis to shut these things down except for appropriate research.

They exist in direct contradiction to the mission of an institution of education.

It’s fun to think about the surgeon who will botch your surgery 20 years from now and what he’s doing at this moment. He just ran all his homework through ChatGPT. He just read that article about vaccines and autism at the CDC website. He just watched an Instagram video about the moon landing hoax.

One thing I can't get over right now with the AI stock reversal is that its all being driven Nvidia's data center business.

Yet I've seen experts say these data centers depreciate rapidly, we don't know what they can bring in, and its all being built off of loans between tech giants.

I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.

Turns out that the $16MM payoff ABC made to Trump bought them only a few months' reprieve. Weird how that happens.
Trump in response to an Epstein question: "ABC, your company, your crappy company is one of the perpetrators. I think the license should be taken away from ABC because your news is so fake and so wrong. And we have a great commissioner, a chairman, who should take a look at that."

Calling the ABC reporter’s question “insubordinate” explains everything about how Trump sees press freedom.
Q: Why wait for Congress to release the Epstein files? Why not just do it now?

TRUMP: It's not the question that I mind. It's your attitude. I think you're a terrible reporter. It's the way you ask these questions. You start off with a man who's highly respected asking him an insubordinate question
