Dreamed about my grandmother last night. She came to the door of my childhood home looking youthful, happy, and healthy. She just smiled at me and I hugged her.
Grief is definitely not linear. I miss them all, Voila Wyche, Gertrude Beckett and Carolyn Tilman, both of my grandmothers and my mom.

Being outside of the U.S. definitely helps calm the nervous system. They way folks nervous systems are hijacked here is cause for payment for pain and suffering. I can when people wake up in the morning and look for tension, look for a fight. And of course these things can always be found.
