There are 3m people in the UK on Universal Credit looking for work.

There are 720,000 jobs the lowest number ever.

150,000 are for the NHS who lists but doesn't hire.

There aren't any jobs for people to work.

But they will keep blaming you.

Today marks 59 years since the Aberfan disaster.

At 9:15am on 21 October 1966, a coal spoil tip collapsed onto the Welsh village of Aberfan, tragically killing 116 children and 28 adults.

One of the darkest days in Wales’ history — never forgotten.

Today is the 89th anniversary of the Battle of Cable Street. Decent, ordinary people stood against the rise of fascism. Always remember.

Another beautiful view across the valley on this morning's perambulation, featuring 2 of our great attractions. Moel Fammau, & Synthite chemical works*

(*one of those two may *possibly* not be a great local attraction. Just possibly)

People are exhausted.

Our high streets, public spaces, whole communities left unloved.

Blaming migrants won’t fix this.

Tackling inequality will. Tax the super-rich. Fund public services.

A legend tells that when a god married a lovely mortal princess, he ordered thousands of tiny bells be hidden amongst the trees to ring in celebration. Afterwards, he transformed them into fuchsia flowers that swing silently in the breeze as a reminder of their love. #folklore
