YES!!!

I was just telling a dear friend yesterday that the best friendships are the ones that you measure not by how many years you've been friends with somebody, but by how many DECADES.

Ours is one of those, and one I cherish.

It's enough to plant the seed and nurture it to start.

If it's supposed to, it will grow. And it's OK if it never does, because sometimes that's what seeds are supposed to do.

Heck, sometimes even completed songs aren't supposed to be heard by an audience, ever.

So don't think that you have to squeeze every idea so hard just so you can complete it, so that it can have a life and be heard.

Sometimes it's better if you remember you can let it go if you want/need to.

To me, to believe that "AI Art" is something we should surrender to, as an inevitability, is nothing less than suicide of the soul.

You can disagree with me; you have that right.

But I will never ever surrender to that growing groupthink garbage. I will fight you and that position until I die.

To accept that "AI Art" (an oxymoron if there ever was one) is "the way of the future" is the ultimate betrayal of what it is to be a human. It is an abdication of one's responsibility and ownership of what it means to be a person who thinks and engages the best parts of oneself.

To be an artist means acquiring, learning and refining one's skills and abilities so that they can make something out of nothing.

I've long believed that to be an artist is to approach the divine.

To be an artist is to express oneself to the ultimate degree.
