Are we in a recession?

Perhaps. Maybe. Hard to tell.

The Sahm Rule focuses on the 3-month average unemployment rate, and asking if it's risen half a point above its year-long low.

The low was 4.0% in January.

The latest (average of Sept & Nov, with Oct missing): 4.5%.

That's +0.5%.

Bingo! Your words perfectly represent my sentiments...and values!
Absolutely! 👍 A No Brainer!

Our economy should be measured by how the bottom 30% are doing in the supermarket, not how the top 1% are doing in the stock market.

Not every American is in the STOCK MARKET, but everyone is in the SUPERMARKET. We know the cold, hard reality that feeding our family, and getting health care, COSTs MORE.
NEW POLL: Trump at an all-time low on the economy.

Instead of waking up and doing the right thing for Americans, he’s bellyaching about why we aren’t grateful for the stock market that we’ve watched him manipulate for his rich buddies with his on-and-off tariffs.

The disconnect in one graphic.

Two Trump Terms, Two Farmer Bailouts! It’s Absurd And We Shouldn’t Have To Pay For It….

I don't want my tax dollars going to bail out Farmers For Trump. Their vote is what bankrupted them. All of a sudden they want a socialist handout, well the rest of us suffer under his policies? 🙄

I always find it interesting how the story changes when a lawyer gets to court. They can say anything they want outside of court without accountability but the rules are vastly different in court where you can get seriously penalized for lying.

We can't tariff our way out of debt from 2017 tax cut for top 1% and corporations and those who have cpas and lawyers to declare themselves corporations.-American farmer

Passing out checks to buy voting blocks is wrong. I support supply side economics, not a shell-game of raising prices in one sector to fund the favored.-an American farmer, who will get a check, still cares who pays the price of idiocracy.#farmers#idiocrazy#tariffs

Why is it always what women need to do or give up or forget about? Would there be such mandates if the little blue pill was suspect? How would men feel about 5 women standing up there, telling them to just buck up? Repubs don't seem to care to even fake inclusion of women.

Do I understand this correctly, if you didn't file taxes in '21 you auto get a chck? Hm, didn't realize that was an option? If I filed& didn't pay enough I get penalty+interest. Thought efficiency was cracking down on, not incentivizing no filers? #hushmoney www.houstonchronicle.com/news/houston...
Is the IRS sending out $1400 stimulus checks? Here's what to know.
Most taxpayers already received COVID-era stimulus checks, but some may still be eligible for up to $1,400.

Firing/rehiring is not a model of efficiency. And firing 5,714 IRS employees (not yet rehired) will have adverse effect on getting $ into USA Treasury. It will help reduce, slow down audits of the rich and famous. And derail service when IRS messes up. www.cbsnews.com/news/federal...
