I agree with you on the frustration on this which keeps me from an EV.
But this isn’t the Federal govs fault

It’s not even a good tone shift. They STILL cannot name USA as hostile.

But again, this is a BC gov decision

In BC for example, they have changed requirements of new builds to require AC, but have not retro fitted all apts.
There is a service to provide AC’s for older and low income people

What actually need are EV batteries that can be fast charged long term so charging is not tied to your home.

Those are Provincial responsibilities

That said, Federal Gov can’t mandate what each building does. I have seen some buildings upgrade and some not. I am sure if you own, each building has a board that votes on it.
For renters, highly unlikely the building is going to spend $$ to do that. I wouldn’t hang that on federal government
