First film i saw after moving to the bay, and it was brilliant. At the time I saw the trailer it felt too revealing, but the film found ways to surprise me. Neither the performance or plot was overdone. It had just the right amount of earnesty and laughs for me.

Any chance to support the art but not the artist here? Frank Herbert was homophobic but people are still buying into Dune games. It’s sad and maddening that Rowling spreads hate and monetizes on it, but maybe there’s love and joy from that world that deserves to be revisited for its merits alone.

Hanamikoji is so good. Tried it on BGA with a friend. The gameplay felt opaque, though rules crystal. Figuring out a full picture was HARD, cuz you couldn’t even control what cards you’d be playing at turns. Combined with couple quick games of Onitama, ooff it was just rejuvenating on the mind.

Hanamikoji is so good. Tried it on BGA with a friend. The gameplay felt opaque, though rules crystal. Figuring out a full picture was HARD, cuz you couldn’t even control what cards you’d be playing at turns. Combined with couple quick games of Onitama, ooff it was just rejuvenating on the mind.
I watched this new feel-good show on golfing called Stick and was appalled to find out how many people hated it on reddit. It felt so conversative there. It’s crazy and scary how much hostility and bad wish, on mass, can be shown towards a character, merely based on their socially progressive views.

Been feeling lonely somewhat of late. There was a time when I felt I had largely overcome it, by playing Spirit Island solo on loop till 4 am in the morning. It’s been a while since I last played it, and I’m not passionate about going back. Feels like an overwhelming amount of effort this time

Learning Ra at home with a three-handed solo game. It’s so fun! The math is kicking in, and decisions feel tight. I wonder if it’s still as fun to play with real opponents because of the compact decision space. Can’t wait to possibly trying it tomorrow

So many films came out at the same time this week that I’m into: The Alto Knights with Robert De Niro, Locked with Anthony Hopkins, Magazine Dreams with Jonathan Majors, The Assessment with Elizabeth Olsen and Alicia Vikander, and Bob Trevino Likes It, which looks like an uplifting and sincere drama
