The evidence it has published found that these cuts would plunge hundreds of thousands of people into poverty.

🤯 Why call for #farming that produces nutritious food, restores the environment, and sets high levels of animal welfare—and then IMPORT food that's produced in ways that'd be ILLEGAL for UK farmers? All that does is export those harms abroad—whilst destroying rural communities at home.
Hugely important warning: allowing cheaper US food imports that don’t meet the same environmental & animal protection standards as British farmers would sound a death knell for UK farms & rural communities. It must not be part of any future trade deal
Rural communities could be destroyed if UK signs US trade deal, says former food tsar

Well, it looks like in September our King, who is intent upon milking our country for every penny he can get, is to play host to the American President, who is intent upon screwing the USA for every dollar he can grift. This in preparation for a bigger State visit in 2026. Fuck that and the cost.

My mother was an elementary teacher and many of her students didn’t have basic necessities like socks and underwear. She got a PT job in retail to save enough to ensure her kids had breakfast and clothing. And, she greeted each child every day with a hug and *I love you and I’m proud of you*

Loss of benefits will “erase some of the most vulnerable people” from the system; increase poverty & homelessness; threaten survival.

Except, it's £6 billion in fraud and £2 billion in errors (still a lot obvs)

And if she's so angry at benefit fraud, wait till she finds out that the tax gap is six times more £39.8 billion
