Nudes tend to have a more artistic bent but the lighting in this one makes him look exposed. Maybe it is an American English distinction and maybe I just made it up in my head. Starkers is a British English word that fits what I'm thinking well. More exposed in a sense............

Somehow this boy looks more 'naked' than nude.

Interesting, I had a thing for an Asian actor who somewhat channeled Akhenaten & his stills never did him the justice his filmed & taped scenes did. Tried to grab a still to show an interested friend & it was impossible. Chen is also mesmerizing on screen but somehow stills don't show it well.

Watched so many Asian films and series that my total disgust with guys who make noises while eating is overcome when a hot Asian many is slurping noodles loudly. Told a German friend about my cringe & he said it was the difference between 'Fressen' und 'Essen'.

Also have a smattering of other languages (not truly fluent in any) and my guilty pleasure is watching a foreign film and being able to say about the subtitles, "That's not what they said!' Grin.

took two years in college but virtually never got to use it. Always have to check my work. Except when Ilya said "I want only you." where I both knew what he said without translation and knew how to spell it. That passage was so moving to me. Lump in my throat.

When asked who my favorite Poet in Spanish I would automatically say Garcia Lorca, but Juan Ramon Jimenez' stanzas are so compelling here and they don't fail to resonate with me when I stumble across this poem.

Just came across one of my favorite poems in Spanish. A bit sad and so I reflected on it. .......hay algo que besa los ojos
y que seca, llorando, las lágrimas. Through the fine acacias. Doesn't take much to bring on a tear or two.
