Sen Dick Durbin is 81 at the end of the month. Sen Schumer is 75 at the end of the month. Sen Angus King is 81. Sen Shaheen is pushing 79. Must feel AMAZING to not have to live with the consequences of your disastrous actions!!!!!!!

Just learned today that a MAGA colleague of mine who I am connected with on Facebook doesn’t like when I comment on her posts, because I’m always factchecking. Like GIRL if you actually factchecked before you posted, I wouldn’t need to.

When you look at the list of institutions they want to defund: libraries, museums, the Smithsonian, public schools, PBS, NPR, archives, you can clearly see that the real threat to an authoritarian regime is an informed and educated public

Cringing at all the not rich people in my social media feeds defending the actions of billionaires. You’ll never be one of them. You’re embarrassing yourself.

Folks seem to be under the impression that you can “do your own research” simply by watching an hours worth of tik toks or YouTube content. This is not correct. And quite possibly, you are now less informed on the subject after doing it.

Best ways to disassociate after a challenging day is watching movies you enjoyed as a kid. So tonight I watched 10 Things I Hate About You over dinner, and Angels in the Outfield after that.

Today I’m thinking about the time when I was 23 and hospitalized for sepsis due to a ruptured endometrioma and United Healthcare didn’t want me to continue receiving care in the hospital, and my gyno argued with them on the phone for hours until they acquiesced.

Libraries are absolutely the best places on earth.

The best part about Netflix and Hallmark Christmas movies is that they are all 90 minutes. Just enough time for you to eat dinner, put the kettle on and make some tea, and cut yourself a slice of cake for something sweet to end the night.

I’m still seeing some pre-election day posts in my Instagram feed, and I think the person that made this possible deserves jail time.

Unpopular opinion that I absolutely stand by is that all pies are the lowest tier desserts and Thanksgiving is a lesser holiday because the desserts are weak.

Saw A Real Pain tonight and think that Culkin’s performance is rightfully stirring awards conversation, but Eisenberg was also fantastic! Alongside directing and writing the thing, his acting was some of the more moving in the film.

In that odd mood where I’m hungry, but don’t want to cook anything, don’t want to order anything, don’t really want to eat anything, so I eat 30 crackers and a cheese stick.

As a librarian, I bring well sourced opinions to every comment section argument I have.

I can’t imagine how hot it will be in my school building tomorrow, and how truly exhausted I will feel at the end of the day. I’m pre-exhausted.

I live in an odd area where no one masks, but when I run into people I know wearing my mask they inevitably say some variation of, “Good for you for masking!” And all I can think of is WHAT IS STOPPING YOU FROM MASKING?!

Working at Paramount Plaza back in 2007, the elevator doors opened and Robert Redford was standing there! We made eye contact as a tripped getting on, spilling the contents of my bag. Something that had never happened before and hasn’t happened since…
Twitter is doing “best celebrity interactions” discourse so we should do WORST ones

not necessarily like that they were a jerk, just that the interaction itself was a fail on some level

like one time Robert Sean Leonard walked past me and I short-circuited so badly I spilled guacamole on myself

Be aware that when schools tell you they “upgraded ventilation” in buildings they’re mostly talking about air filters in classrooms. These filters don’t reduce CO2 and air quality is BAD. This reading was taken in a room with an AC and filter running, no open windows or door. 16 adults.

Removing the block function from Twitter takes the conservative vision of free speech full circle from "I have a right to say it" to "no one should criticize what I say" to "you should be forced to hear me say it"

Putting too much pressure on myself to create my first post here, so instead I’ve just edited my profile no less than seven times.
