Last year I went bed on my birthday, Election Day, unable to sleep because I worried what was to come. Today, I woke up with a renewed sense of hope❤️. There is so much work to do together. Just like the last 12 months have been filled with hard work for those of us fighting to defend what we value.

This is what your shopping cart looks like when you live in the neighborhood known for loving Halloween. And with all of this candy, I am guessing we will be out by 8 PM especially with Halloween on a Friday night. Any guesses on the total number of pieces in the cart?

Well, @didtherockieslose.bsky.social… there are two positives tonight: 1) the first (thinking positively) error was right in front of us and was fun to watch, and 2) the helmet sundae was as good as I remember from my childhood. The game was no bueno.

There is a bear in my neighborhood (this is my photo), and there is NO WAY I am getting one more hour of work done today. The poor bear and the wildlife team wish they could just do their work without the entire neighborhood watch party. No such luck, Boo Boo. I now want a bear— it is super cute.

Today I landed at the Indianapolis airport and I was transfixed with how decorated it was for the WNBA All Star weekend!! There’s a basketball court in the main terminal, DJ spinning tunes, decorations everywhere, and merch! I now own a tee and there were as many males as females buying it. 1/2

I mentioned to someone I recently met on vacation that I was missing my baby. She asked to see pictures and after 10 pictures of Blue I realized she thought I was going to show her pictures of my daughter. I mean. I love her and I miss her, too, but she can text and call. I miss my boy and he can’t!

Someone suggested I post more pictures of Blue bc that will help their 2025 stress levels. So, here he is on our new lounger than he has been told many times he isn’t allowed to sit on. As you can see, he isn’t sitting so he is a very good boy and is listening.

Something to make people smile (I think we all need a smile)— a picture of Blue! My daughter is convinced we are only taking him hiking each weekend so I can take Glamour Shots of him. Perhaps. But boy, is this a beautiful dog!!

I spent today with my mentor, and it was fantastic to celebrate where I've been, discuss my current accomplishments, and plan future goals with University of Colorado Regent Emerita Patricia Hayes. I am so thankful to have her support for over two decades!
