Leaders need to find ways of helping a constituency, Obama care recipients, without harming another, Federal employees. Federal employees last full paycheck was September 19th, even if all goes well it still be another week or two until they finally are paid.

Seth, Republicans were never going to make a deal. The shutdown would have dragged on to Thanksgiving and would have ended by R’s nuking Filibuster. At least this deal saves Feds who were terminated. Dems made their point, R’s obviously responsible for raising Obama care rates.

Oakland California has all the makings of the West coast version of Jersey City. Waterfront, across from a much more expensive city and great public transportation. They need to get their zoning laws right and boast public safety.

There are indeed direct trains to NY Penn from the Raritan Valley line stations, but they only operate off peak. You can see them with the NY at the top of the schedule columns.
