It's amazing how spending the day reading in bed is considered a red flag, but spending the day reading at the beach is A-OK

The most important question of the day, asked by a major sports reporter: How much Taylor Swift material can we do without completely embarrassing ourselves and our profession?

I spent the day with my grandmother, and it shows.

I want to participate in Inktober but don't really want to draw, so I'm going to use the promts to write instead

Today I finally accomplished a personal goal and scheduled all of the doctor's appointments I have been postponing for months. I now have four in the next two weeks, and another three next month.
I think I've earned myself a treat and a nap.

"I must, however, bear in mind that my every move to erase previous events provokes a rain of new events, which complicate the situation worse than before and which I will then, in their turn, have to try to erase."

From "If On A Winter's Night A Traveler" by Italo Calvino.

Now reading: If On A Winter's Night A Traveller, by Italo Calvino.

A relatively short book that is written in second person, about a reader and a second reader. I am intrigued and hope it is as fun as the cover looks.
4.04 ⭐ on good reads.

Spend less time thinking about the Roman Empire and more time thinking about Katherine Hepburn as a drag king

"no disease should be allowed to have as victims both the patient and the care giver but that is exactly what is happening every minute of every day"

Alzheimers is not only totally destructive and incurable, it also directly inflicts those around the patient.
My next read: Slow Dancing with a stranger.

An early onset Alzheimer's story, that is said to be a wake up call. The name of the book is haunting, and the cover is a terrific representation of how I picture dementia.

4.04 ⭐ on Goodreads.

Today's topics during lunch at work: a commercial airplane that was shot out of the sky, the verdict of the court case regarding a horrific rape case at a covid hotel, the upsides of an international pandemic and vegan hamburgers.
