First read of 2023 ✨📖

This is my first time reading Alcestis and I loved the character of the Nurse, but it's been great to re-read Iphigenia in Tauris with its macabre setting, (not so) subtle disrespect for the gods and Orestes/Pylades at their shenanigans again.

One of the many things I adore about writing is research. I can spend weeks in this stage and never get close to a wrap up, but the time is never wasted.

I do have a plan for this, and yes it includes comic books, novellas and short stories. 😅

sometimes people still ask me how could I've endured living in Egypt, a hot scorching desert - when even 7 years ago the temperatures were more or less the same in summer at the sea side, and now it seems to be worse living in Europe

this could be proper a selfie if you count al the hours I've spent writing in this caffe through the past couple of years, with a view to the wall of a Roman palace... I'll leave it up to you to guess which one! (hint: tetrarchy period 😉)

speaking of Greek, last week I came across the word catamite in a novel and went to Wiktionary to confirm my idea that it had the root κατα for "down" 🤡 turns out etymologies can often leave one utterly baffled. I'm still not sure what's happened here, but I'm living for it.
