I watch horror movies. I watch TV. I watch Chicago sports. I go to concerts. 3 of those things are fun.
Tonight’s Simpsons is “Bart the Fink”. I’m bumping it up to number 17 all time, and that might still be low. The auction, the funeral, IRS Burger, Handsome Pete, and so much more. No notes.

This movie pulls off an interesting feat: every character who shows up is more of an asshole than the previous character. And we don’t exactly start at zero on that scale. #Horror365Challenge 331

Went non-horror tonight to show a movie I love to a person I love. Haven’t seen this one in forever, and it holds up so well. Leaves Tubi soon.

Sticking with new Tubi movies for now. This is “You miss all the shots you don’t take” applied as philosophy for making a possession horror. Makes for as many interesting moments as cringey ones. #Horror365Challenge 329

Tonight’s Simpsons is actually tonight’s Simpsons, “Day of the Jack-Up”. It’s average, but it’s also a full movie parody I never thought they’d do and that’s fun.

I went back to the Tubi well instead of watching the 3:00 game. I’m into game of death horror no matter what, and in some ways, this had a fresh approach. #Horror365Challenge 328

Tonight’s Simpsons was “Fraudcast News”. It drops from 11 to 16, but it’s by far the highest-ranking late episode, and it’s the latest high-ranking episode. The goons line and the Spice Girls scene back to back will always be classic.

And we’re through today’s Tubi tripleheader. Kind of a snoozer. #Horror365Challenge 327

Ok Tubi, you’ve proven you can do better than The Creeper in the Woods. This one’s nasty as hell and kind of entertaining. #Horror365Challenge 326

Two movies tonight. The first, the comedy-crime-thriller, was a winner in cast and imagination. The second, the horror, is now off my watchlist. #Horror365Challenge 324

Tonight’s Simpsons was the latest episode, “Sashes to Sashes”. I laughed a few times. Homer is at his best when he walks into a room and is immediately down with whatever’s going on. Chunk it up!

After yesterday’s disappointments, I decided to treat myself. I wasn’t crazy about the changes they made to the original story, but that’s barely more than a nitpick. Everything else is what I hoped it would be. #Horror365Challenge 323

Man, I really did not think I was going to go 0-for-2 tonight with these choices. I was saving these two and they were both so, so bad. Girlfriends I get, it’s ‘90s low budget and you take what you get. But what the hell happened here? #Horror365Challenge 322
November 20, 2025 at 3:47 AM
This barely qualifies as horror. It’s kind of a low budget lesbian Natural Born Killers, but with a twist. I dunno. That makes it sound better than it is. #Horror365Challenge 321

They sure went for it on this installment, didn’t they? I signed up for the ride and I’m not really complaining, but still, I don’t feel so good. #Horror365Challenge 320

Patti Smith is still such a badass. I got to see and hear some real rock star shit this year. Scott Lucas, Dave Pirner, Chris Carrabba, Trent Reznor, the Gallaghers, Dan Andriano and Matt Skiba, Weird Al, and now Patti.

This is where I’m at tonight. Didn’t expect it, not sure if it’s worth dragging my agoraphobic ass out of my house or not, but we’re here so let’s find out. In 20 minutes: Patti Smith.

We have another entry in the category of murderous reunion movies. I’m into that, even when they’re just ok. #Horror365Challenge 319

I always like it when a film turns out to be extremely fucked up, but the best fucked up films earn their moments of shock. I never felt like this one did. It was just like, here you go, have some trauma, shrug emoji. #Horror365Challenge 318

This is a fun Thai slasher. It’s got just a little bit of all the good stuff: ridiculous kills, sex appeal, and cartoonish absurdity. #Horror365Challenge 317

“D’you… D’you enjoy the Arliss show?”

The stories here are old hat, but the cast is stacked enough that I don’t mind. Also gave me an excuse to remember the Monster Mash presentation from Ted, and the story they call “The Locket”. #Horror365Challenge 316

I thought the blend of traditional and meta horror played well here. It had a bit of the “All these people suck” problem- characters, not actors- but it wasn’t bad enough to ruin anything. #Horror365Challenge 315
