Beyond panels, we are planning a roundtable to reflect on the future of gender and sexuality studies and share strategies for responding to political pressures. If you’d like to be part of the roundtable, send us your bio and statement of interest by September 24, 2025.

There are many ways to get involved with the GSRN at CES 2026. If you have an individual paper, you can submit it yourself or send it to us by September 24, 2025 (tunay.altay@hu-berlin.de / kristabailie@gmail.com). Fully formed panels can be submitted directly via the CES portal by October 8, 2025.

Far-right populists have re-politicized "border control" as the magical solution to all the ills of our times. We see a similar trend in Germany as well. The coming years will undoubtedly introduce new configurations of border regimes, each with its own challenges.
