May not always be super active, but I appreciate my friends on here
Couple of my favorite GDQ I grabbed over the years. That Untitled Goose one just came in maybe a month ago & was from SGDQ's Fangamer collection this year lol.

Swung into a retro store for the first time in a while this weekend & snagged a couple goodies.

Been continuing Letter Quest which I'm slowly becoming addicted to for being such a chill time lol. May also start a cute looking pixel art homage to Donkey Kong Country I recently discovered called Windswept.

I know it's only mid-November, but ehh screw it, the world's on fire & it's time to let in even just a little joy.
Christmas is starting now lol.

Turned out to be a good call lol. Loving Letter Quest so far.
The simple but effective "word battle RPG" gameplay loop is something I'm finding low-key addictive and... I guess kinda soothing in a way?

Perfect "turn the brain noise down & just unwind for a bit" kind of game.

I adore how Mabel chooses to simply cuddle with this new snake toy buddy of hers rather than chew it lol.

#RandomGameSaturday? Cool! Sure, why not.
I'll go with Skies of Arcadia Legends for GameCube.

Finally found this complete copy at a retro show last year & happy to have it. I hear nothing but good things about it, so I may bump it up the list of next year's priority games to try, ya never know lol.

Anyone remember the Bookworm games? They were word puzzle games I have some nostalgia for. Apparently there was even a Bookworm RPG where you fought enemies with words you spelled.

Wish I could've tried it, but I've found Letter Quest, a spiritual successor of sorts, on Steam, so I might try that!

For me personally, it's a neck-&-neck, basically unbreakable tie between Grant Kirkhope & Yoko Shimomura. Can't choose just one.

They're both geniuses & their compositions have followed me the vast majority of my gaming life.

Rolled credits on Pokémon Legends Z-A.
Pretty fun time overall. Narrative is serviceable, but that new combat system definitely does the heavy lifting. Turning Pokémon battles into fast-paced, real-time ordeals was a good call.

Here's hoping Gen 10 builds on this game's strong points.

My wife wanted to watch some evening TV, so tonight was my first time spending a good while using the Switch 2 as a handheld, and I gotta say, *way* better than OG Switch.

For me personally anyway. A way more comfortable fit for my gigantic meat claws lol.

It was actually a bit of a rush to find stuff in the Pokémon Legends Z-A game box besides just, y'know, the game! And I mean, it's at least a *little* nifty! Comes with a handy little type matchup chart 👍

Took me back to the good ol' days of game manuals for a moment there.

Loving this Halloween desktop I found on Wallpaper Engine. Especially the way the cat follows your mouse cursor lol.

Ooh! Fun! Quote with two female video games characters you like!

I'll go with Samus Aran from Metroid
and
Shadowheart from Baldur's Gate III

I don't usually tag that much, so anyone feel free to join in & share your opinions too if you'd like!

Rolled credits on Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac.
A lovingly crafted remake right here. You get level design tweaks, voice acting, different bosses, time trials AND a postgame all for $30. Great value.

Had a delightful time overall, even if I found the postgame levels to be more tedious than rewarding.

Idk who came along & decided jump landing indicators should be added to 3D platformers, but whoever you are, please know you have my thanks lol.

I'm not saying platformers without them are a dealbreaker, but when they're included, they wind up being pretty dang helpful.

Galaxy Tab A9+. New toy to mess around with -- plus adds another screen to the Nerd Cave! Was on a silly good sale this weekend plus 5% off with our card.

Hard to put into exact words how being in my Nerd Cave with the windows open on a crisp evening makes me feel, but what I *can* tell you is I've reached peak zen-like vibes atm.

Sometimes fans really do what Nintendon't!
Super Mario Bros Remastered, a fantastic fangame, just dropped last Saturday on Mario's 40th.

Graphics tweaks, 4 games included, achievements, challenge modes, resource packs, a full level editor -- it's a *beautiful* love letter to SMB & I love it so far.

Rocco is one that jumps to mind. I love this grump.
I unironically believe the "grumpy" personality type may be my favorite in the series lol.

Trip to the local cider mill complete with live jazz performance & then having some fam over today to cheer the Detroit Lions to victory did *wonders* for clearing my head this weekend.

Also thankful for some new followers & my inclusion in a very kind Bsky Starter Pack. Much love, everyone ❤️
