A couple days later dozens of walkers in a St John's urban green space (Pippy Park) 'discovered' the Canada Games mtb race and guess what? They cheered and hollared!

Love seeing people attend their first race. Regardless of which side of the tape they're on it blows their mind.
Like this Canada Games crit in St John's NL. Locals downtown 'discovered' the event as they strolled and a few thousand stayed to cheer!

Yes it's a red wine and blazing fire kind of night.
Any small mercies are appreciated in a gloomy November.

There's no other activities that will get me out in a cold November rain by choice.

Day 1 done!
Day 1 of many bikepacking adventures I'm sure.

Dropped the oldest off for a two day solo bikepacking adventure in Fundy this AM.
I've been txtd that "the views are fantastic and the climbs are brutal."
Let them fly.

If you haven't ridden the Wellington- Aeroparc connector road yet you owe it to yourself. Its still closed to cars, its brand new pavement, its glorious.

Came across two major 'accidents' on Main St in first 15 mins of my ride within a km of each other. RCMP waved me through so I rode an empty 107 to Musq Hrbr

Driver error

We shrug our shoulders and say "meh, whaddya gonna do eh"

Take this driving stuff with the seriousness it deserves. Please

Always a great ride along the Dartmouth Harboufront trail but who do we notify about the overgrowth of bushes onto the trail?
The trail is so grown in its half its normal width in places, blind corners, ticks, etc
Is that a 311 call??

Last wknd my wife and I spent two days wine touring around Wolfville and Gaspereau ON BIKES.
She used an e-bike and we had an absolute blast visiting six wineries.

So fortunate to have a bike lane on the bridge.

I can only imagine the hysterical outcry that the anti-cycling crowd would unleash nowadays if this hadnt been added to the bridge years ago.
"Cyclists dont need a bridge lane, they can take the ferry!! Or swim!!"

20 days would be the upper end. There's literally a cycling club in HRM called The Winter Bike League lol
Here's one pic each from Dec, Jan and Feb.

I'm of the opinion that no NS road should be repaved without incorporating a paved shoulder. Its safer for everyone.

I see that West Lawrencetown road has markings indicating it's being prepared to be repaved. Absolutely it should have a paved shoulder (as should L'town Rd!)

Five members of our household are at work today. One rideshare and four cycling.
Both vehicles sitting at home. This is common.
Certainly autos are necessary for much of our activities but not all, or even most.
Bikes REDUCE traffic congestion!!
