Watched Hamnet last night and Shakespeare’s at it again, with Maggie O’Farrell and Chloé Zhao enabling. Absolutely drained of tears. I thought it was maybe too melancholy, though beautiful, until it got so much more sad and so much more lovely. Then I knew they were just warming up the sad muscles.
