Hudson Valley. Road-trip taker, travel-goal chaser: NPS (57/63 | 238/433); NY state parks (106); MLB (30/30 and SABR member), MiLB (61/120), & NFL (32/32) stadiums; ski areas (69); beer; Americana. Oh, and STM publishing
These are the seven National Parks I haven't visited yet. 2025 was the first year since 2014 where I didn't get to a new one or two. Or four.
I hope to shorten this list a bit next year.

These are most--if not all--of my Randy Jones baseball cards. Growing up in New York, he was one of those players I wish I got to see more of.

Yes, it's #NationalHikingDay. Throwing it back to my June trip, which included this stop and hike at the Buffalo National River.

A4 Yes! Many of my trips to NYS Parks this time of year are for foliage. Glimmerglass on the left, and Green Lakes on the right. #ParkChat

A7 Bear Lake in northern UT definitely caused me to do a double take. We don't have lakes that color in the east. #ParkChat

A6 Ohh, cantankerous might be the right way to describe Lake Ontario on this day. Water temps were 80 deg, but you'd never know it from looking at it. #ParkChat

A3 Lake Willoughby in Vermont was once a glacier. #ParkChat

A2 Most recently? Ducks. :)

A1 Hiking up to them or around them is definitely on the list. Case in point, Green Lakes State Park this past weekend. #ParkChat

I saw the winners, but here's one I didn't see mentioned and always liked...

1977 and 1978 were the first two seasons where I took a break from buying packs of baseball cards. In 1979, I came to my senses, and these are my first Blue Jays and Mariners cards...

Hey, that's the one I was thinking of posting. #ParkChat

It works both ways, though, doesn't it? Sometimes you don't see them getting that picture, and you're the one in the shot. 😉

Quote post a pic of a National Park.

A great egret as seen from a boardwalk trail in Everglades National Park.

A5 I kind of liked this rock in Sequoia, but I did feel a bit sorry for the tree. #ParkChat

I still get a headache reading this... 😂

I spent a few hours at nearby Washington's Crossing SHS just off the Hudson. It could be close to 10 years since I was here. Nice day exploring inside and out on the grounds there.

Munson appeared on some beauties, though, didn't he? Used him for my baseball card tree a few years back...

I really wanted one Yogi in my collection, then added a few more from that set...

This map from my friends at @aviewfrommyseat.com shows where I've seen a sporting event since 2011ish. I do like how it has filled in, but kind of want to sneak my earlier visits to Lambeau, the Superdome and LP Stadium (Nashville) on here. 😂

I see the 74 Killebrew card was already posted--loved that card like the Kaline one I shared yesterday, as some of these cards were my introduction to some of the all-time greats who were finishing up their careers as I was just getting into baseball.
Instead, I'll share this Jim Kaat gem.

I always liked these highlight cards, and this was a definite favorite.
