They have rules (mark & S&G) where if you indicate to the ref taking one action but take another it's a turnover. They could potentially go that route.

Wouldn't like to guess until we see wording.

(Some of the new stuff has big holes already. Fingers crossed Friday/Monday fixes some of it)

Changes are in the implementations e.g. rule on slow play for restart hasn't changed in wording - but the directive of 20 secs being the acceptable threshold is tweaked.

All positive tweaks, just very under the radar.

(Usual magic trick completed. The network folks do a phenomenal job on the fixes)

Yeah, never experienced anything like it (around Castlebar, so to the eastern side of the cluster).

A clear view over towards Clew Bay, so the house was being lit up like a disco with it.

Fingers crossed the network folks perform their usual magic with the power.

I'd fancy my own chances at a couple of those 'persuasions' Jim pulled off.

At least 1 (I'd have thought 2) was injury & one 'left' due to being underage and the county being fined for mistakenly playing him last year.

Odd framing (in general, not you) of those returns.

Arcs works brilliantly. Makes all the other annotations around it shorter & easier too.

On finances... Any idea what's covered under "Royalties" in returns? Anything I can potentially come up with could easily be included elsewhere.

The cycles of...

"We had to increase the price due to an increasing cost base"

Followed relatively quickly by...

"Company announces record profits"

Is dizzying at this point.

2-3-11 (23) looks perfect, condensed but full info.

Breakdown for individual scorers gets worse.

1-2-4 (11: 1-0 pen, 1 2ptf, 1f, 1m)? Very messy, but it'd be a shame to lose the context of score types. Could be a necessary evil, I'd fear.

I'd have thought as Mayo fans we'd have had our fill of existential dread, Greek tragedies & tying ourselves up in knots (never mind the twine) to last a lifetime.

A real glutton for punishment if you're looking for more in any of those topics. Fair play.

Don't fall for the peer pressure, Anne-Marie.

No matter what they tell you, following "The Kerry Football Podcast", "The Maroon & White Pod" or "Donegal GAA Podcast" isn't exotic or enlightening.

If @endamcgearty.bsky.social can't horizon my culture I fear it's beyond fixing.

I'd have thought....

SMcG (1-1-6, 1-0 pen, 2f)
Clifford (0-2-8, 1-2pt-f & 1f)
Forker (3-9-12)

Would be the most likely & most information while still in condensed form. The 2pt free the 'worst'.

Not sure if it might also need an added 'total' too (11, 12, 39) with the more common new score math.

Cheers for all the updates, John.

The hard work is massively appreciated.

Exciting year ahead to see how they pan out.

With the new speed... yeah. It's so much more demanding now.

That said... with 3/3, advanced mark and the 2 point arc there's potentially a whole new life for the odd 40 year old with a long range boomer or the bear in the square if the team can accomodate the athletic demands raised on others.

It's a shame about the 'hand over' necessity of that rule. That will frustrate so many for silly infractions.

Punishing on the delay intent alone would have been perfect.

That said, it's one of the biggest changes of the day. We just got a MUCH faster game. Love it.

Don't wish to alarm you Kieran.... but I'm pretty sure someone tried to nail you in the head with a tracer spit-ball just before this pic was taken.

Not to point any fingers, but was @cormacpro.bsky.social in the crowd?

This one WILL have a few terrible calls from refs (especially in year 1) but the benefits far outweigh the risks or the cons there, IMHO.

Fingers crossed they can manage to reach a fairly consistent interpretation of the rule fairly quickly.

1/3 of the way through Special Congress votes, all passed so far

✅ applies to club & county
✅ 1v1 - for throw-up at each half
✅ Kickouts - have to go beyond 40m arc
✅ Goalkeepers - can only receive ball in opp half
✅ 3/3 Structure - potentially revolutionary
✅ Advanced Mark - new one inside 20m
