Machine cut is not forbidden across the board. Maliki, shafi and hanbali schools allow it. But for hanafis, i suppose yes cross contamination would be an issue.

Spiritual training takes time! People put in hours training their bodies in gyms... and very little time in dhikr. This is why we have emotional maladies.
