First time I've seen a case have 6 seperate applications for leave to appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada. Even though it was an unusually long wait for the decision on leave, no surpise seeing them all granted. #SCC

The Supreme Court granted leave to appeal today in John Howard Society vs SK. When inmates are charged with disciplinary offences, does guilt only need to be established on a balance of probabilities even though it can result in longer incarceration? Here's the SKCA decision: canlii.ca/t/jtjr0 #SCC

Not surprising to see this appeal dismissed from the bench at the Supreme Court of Canada. It was its second trip to the #SCC. The upcoming reasons should provide guidance on the Sherman decision wrt considering a person's privacy & dignity when ordering pub bans decisions.scc-csc.ca/scc-csc/news...
